What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is a web analytics service that provides statistics and basic analytical tools for search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing purposes. The service is part of the Google Marketing Platform and is available for free to anyone with a Google account.
Google Analytics is used to track website performance and collect visitor insights. It can help organizations determine top sources of user traffic, gauge the success of their marketing activities and campaigns, track goal completions (such as purchases, adding products to carts), discover patterns and trends in user engagement and obtain other visitor information such as demographics.
Does Replo with Google Analytics?
Yes! Replo works with almost all analytics frameworks including Google Analytics. Because Replo auto-magically imports all the scripts you currently use on your Shopify store, Replo will automatically import Google Analytics if you already have it installed. If you don't have Google Analytics installed on your Shopify store, please take a look at the tutorial here to get started.
Do I need to set up a separate Google Analytics instance for pages built on Replo?
Nope! Unlike legacy "website" and "landing-page" builders, everything you build in Replo gets published directly into your Shopify theme as if a developer worked with you to write the code. The code generated by Replo is hosted on the same domain as the rest of your Shopify theme. This means that you do not need to create a separate Google Analytics instance, and actions performed by end-users on Replo pages will be attributed back to their customer journey on the rest of your storefront.
Sessions on Replo pages are not correctly tracked in Google Analytics
