By default, your store publishes to a Replo subdomain. Connecting your own domain (for example, yourbrand.com) means customers see your brand in the address bar, which looks more professional and builds trust. You connect a domain in two parts: you tell Replo which domain to use, then you update your domain’s DNS records at your domain provider so it points to Replo.
1

Open the Domains tab

In the Site Builder, click Publish site and then Connect domain. You can also open Settings in the top bar and choose Domains, search for “Connect a domain” with ⌘K, or ask Replo in chat to connect a domain. Custom domains are part of the Starter plan; on Free, connecting a domain opens the upgrade to Starter.
2

Add your domain

Under Add existing domain, click Connect domain, enter the domain you want to use (for example shop.yourbrand.com or yourbrand.com) in the side panel and click Connect. If you enter a root domain like yourbrand.com, Replo connects both www.yourbrand.com and yourbrand.com. Visitors land on www.yourbrand.com, and yourbrand.com redirects there once both are set up.
3

Update your DNS

A setup panel opens. Replo looks up where your domain’s DNS is managed (for example GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare) and shows the steps for that provider: where to find your DNS records, any existing records to remove first, and the records to add (Type, Name, and Value). If Replo can’t tell, pick your provider from the grid. If the provider shown is wrong, click its name to change it.When you’ve added the records, click I’ve added these. Each record then shows a spinner while Replo looks for it and a check mark once it’s found. If a record still has the wrong value or name about 20 minutes later, Replo marks it and notes what to fix.
If your DNS is on Cloudflare, set each record that points to Replo to DNS only (grey cloud), not proxied (orange cloud). A proxied record keeps the domain stuck in Waiting for DNS or loads with an SSL warning. The TXT verification record can stay as-is — TXT records are never proxied.

Verify and publish

While the setup panel is open, Replo checks for your records every 10 seconds, and you can click Check now at any time. Once the records are found, Replo connects the domain, closes the panel, and the domain shows as Live. If you close the panel first, the domain shows as Waiting for DNS; click Finish setting up to reopen it. DNS changes can take a little time to propagate. Publish your site to show your latest changes on the new domain.

Root domains vs. subdomains

A subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com is the simplest option and won’t affect anything else you host on your root domain. Connecting a root domain like yourbrand.com replaces whatever site is currently associated with it, and you can’t change it back without manually reconfiguring your DNS, so make sure nothing else needs to stay on it before you connect it. If you’re wondering whether a subdomain is the right call at all, or worried about what it means for tracking, ads, or checkout, see Why Publish to a Subdomain. If you connect a root domain without also connecting its www version, Replo suggests adding www.yourbrand.com too. Many domain providers redirect visitors from the root domain to www, so connecting both means your site loads either way.
DNS changes do not always apply instantly. If your domain does not work right away, give it some time to propagate and check again.

If you sell through Shopify

Shopify runs checkout on your store’s primary domain (Shopify admin, Settings → Domains), so that domain has to keep pointing at Shopify. A new subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com doesn’t affect it. To move your root domain to Replo, first make a new subdomain such as checkout.yourbrand.com your Shopify primary domain, then connect your root domain here.
Don’t make a domain connected to Replo your Shopify primary domain, even to brand your checkout: shoppers couldn’t check out. If it’s set that way, change your Shopify primary domain back to your myshopify.com address or a checkout subdomain.

Removing a domain

Open the … menu next to a domain and choose Remove. If the domain is verified and currently live, Replo asks you to confirm first since your site stops loading at that address right away. You can reconnect it later by adding it again.
