Keep your site’s shared design in one place. Update a header, footer, or section in the Component Library, and every page that uses it gets the change. Each page can still have its own content, products, and options. Start with a ready-made ecommerce section from Replo’s template library, turn a section you’ve already built into a component, or ask Replo to create one.

Start with a section template

If the Components tab is missing, the Component Library is not enabled for that project.
  1. Open your site in Site Builder, then open the pages and components menu in the top bar and choose the Components tab.
  2. If the library is empty, pick from a 2×3 grid of section templates on Start your Component Library, or select Browse section templates. Open a template to preview it, then add it to the library.
  3. In the component preview, click Edit in chat to include it in your message. Ask Replo where to use it:

Create and preview a component

Tell Replo what you want to reuse. Describe a new design or name a section already on a page:
Open the pages and components menu in Site Builder, choose Components, then select the component from the list. Try its available settings in the preview. Under Where it appears, you can see which pages use it and open a page to check the result. Use New page on the Pages tab or New component on the Components tab when you want to create something from scratch. To rename a component, click its name at the top of the settings panel, enter the new name, then press Enter or click away. Wait for Renaming to finish while Replo updates the pages that use it. Click Edit in chat to request changes, or mention the component with @ in chat.
Preview controls only change the preview. To save a change, ask Replo in chat. Components are shared within one site. Your edits go live when you publish.

Update every page that uses a component

Edit the shared component to update all the pages that use it. For example, open Site Header, click Edit in chat, and send:
Open the pages listed under Where it appears to check the update. When you create another page, ask Replo to use the same header there.

Give each page its own content

A shared design can have different content or options on each page. Tell Replo which values should change and which pages to use them on. For example, create a reusable buy box using products from Products:
Then reuse it with a different product on each page:
Replace the bracketed products and page names with your own, or mention products with @. Open both pages to check the products and Add to cart before publishing.

Reuse the button’s design while giving each instance its own label and link:
To update the shared design, ask Replo to change Call To Action’s corners, colors, or typography.
Ask for the option you need in chat, such as “Add an option to hide Site Header’s announcement bar.” Open the component to try its new settings. If a property has no preview control, you can still ask Replo to change it.
